Healthcare, pharma, and consumer research · New York roots · Nationwide fieldwork

The right people, in the right room, on time.

Focus group recruiting and fieldwork management for qualitative studies where the audience is specific, the timeline is real, and “close enough” is not good enough.

For research buyers

Recruiting and fieldwork management, handled by people who know the difference.

RC Horowitz supports research agencies, consultancies, advertising agencies, pharmaceutical brands, and healthcare sponsors that need the right respondents found, screened, confirmed, and ready.

The work stays practical: honest expectations, careful screening, visible status, responsive project management, and clean close-out.

Healthcare and pharma recruiting

Patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, practice managers, and low-incidence audiences, screened to the study spec.

Consumer recruiting

General population and niche consumer recruits with quota control, confirmation discipline, and experienced screening.

Fieldwork logistics

Scheduling, reminders, homework tracking, NDAs, venue or platform coordination, incentives, and close-out details managed in one place, with one point of billing for your study.

Who we recruit

Any audience. Any methodology. Any U.S. city.

The specialty is hard-to-find people, but the discipline is the same every time: ask better questions, verify what matters, and keep checking until the session starts.

Why clients come back

Small on purpose. Serious about quality.

Panel size is a vanity metric. What fills your study with the right people is experienced recruiting, direct accountability, and a team willing to tell you the truth before the field date gets painful.

Clients tell us they value our honesty most. When a study is low incidence or the timing is tight, we say so up front instead of guessing at feasibility.

We never over‑promise and under‑deliver.

Healthcare fluency

Recruiters understand specialty, treatment, and patient-experience language well enough to screen carefully and flag what does not sound right.

Human verification

Screening, confirmation, identity checks, duplicate review, and re-contact happen through people, not just form submissions.

Visible fieldwork

Clients get practical status on quotas, confirmations, homework, attendance risk, and what needs a decision.

Experienced ownership

RC Horowitz has been recruiting since 1983. Senior people stay close to the projects that need judgment.

Our point of view

Recruiting is matchmaking.

An old-school approach to recruiting, with a modern sensibility.

Big data can tell you when, where, and how often people buy, use, or switch. It cannot tell you why. The why comes from talking with the right people, and finding them is still a human skill.

Anyone can blanket the internet with the promise of easy money and fill a database with people who tick the boxes. That is how studies end up with professional respondents. The participant who truly fits, can explain their choices, and connects with your moderator takes time, judgment, and recruiters with real intuition.

Since 1983 we have worked the way the best recruiters always have: we read the research objective, weigh the people behind the quotas, and tell you early when a spec will not hold up in the field. We are a partner in the research, not just the people who fill the seats.

“Recruiting is the canvas on which the art is displayed.”

How we work

Bid it. Screen it. Confirm it. Field it.

Every step has an owner, a next action, and a reason for being there.

Bid

Send the spec, screener, audience, timing, and markets. RC Horowitz gives a practical read on timing and cost.

Most quotes within one business day.

Screen

Experienced recruiters work the screener, probe for consistency, verify details where applicable, and watch for professional respondents.

Verified, not just qualified.

Confirm

Sessions, reminders, paperwork, homework, and tech checks are tracked so clients are not chasing loose ends.

Nothing left vague before session day.

Field

Live grid as it fills, standbys ready, incentives paid, and a clean close-out with your sample purged when the job is billed.

Show rates you can plan around.

For participants

Get paid for your opinion. Yes, really.

Companies want to understand what patients, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and everyday consumers actually think. If a study fits your profile, a real recruiter contacts you and explains the details before you decide.

Step 1

Join the panel

Tell us a little about yourself. No obligation, and your information is never sold.

Step 2

We contact you when you match

A recruiter asks screening questions and tells you the topic, format, timing, and incentive.

Step 3

Share your view, get paid

Take part in the session after you agree to the details. The incentive is confirmed before you say yes.

Privacy

Your information deserves care.

Research depends on trust. Here is how we handle participant information and client-provided sample.

Participant information

We use your information to match you with research studies, contact you about participation, and arrange incentive payments. We do not sell your personal information.

Health information

Some studies ask about health conditions or treatments. We treat those answers as confidential and explain how study information will be used before you agree to participate.

Client-provided sample

Client lists are used for the assigned study and handled according to the project agreement, including requirements for access, return, and deletion.

Participant FAQ

Real research, real people, clear expectations.

What is marketing research?

It is a way for companies and organizations to learn what people think, feel, need, and do before they make decisions. There are no right or wrong answers.

What is a focus group?

A small group discussion led by a moderator. It may happen in person or online, and the recruiter explains the time, topic, incentive, and whether the session is recorded before you agree.

How is my information used?

Your profile helps RC Horowitz contact you about studies that may fit. You can ask to update or delete your information.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining the panel is free, and you are never asked to pay to take part in a study.

Will I be invited to every study?

No. Each study looks for specific people, so you will only hear from us when your profile looks like a good match, and you still need to pass the screening questions. Keeping your profile up to date helps.

Are studies in person or online?

Both. Many studies happen by video or phone from home; others are held at a research location or in your home. The recruiter tells you the format, place, and time before you agree.

How do I update my profile or stop invitations?

Email participate@rchorowitz.com or call (212) 779-3633. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text from us.
